Good For The Planet
Reusable Mask – Less Waste
Single-use, surgical masks should currently be saved for healthcare workers – if not disposed properly, their private use often ends up polluting the environment and our oceans. According to Gary Stokes, founder and director of the NGO Oceans Asia, which has been monitoring ocean surface trash as part of WWF’s Blue Ocean Initiative, their team has seen the odd mask here and there over the years, but this time they were spotted all along the high tide line and foreshore with new deposits coming in with each current.
“When you suddenly have a population of 7 million people wearing one to two masks per day, the amount of trash generated is going to be substantial”, said Gary Stokes.
GoodGuise® facemasks are entirely reusable and therefore contribute to minimizing waste, which may end up polluting our environment.
Eco-friendly materials
Starting from the source – our masks are made from 100% organic cotton, certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard. The worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers includes ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. This ensures avoiding the use of toxic bleaches, dyes and other toxic substances during the production process of textiles.
WITH ONLY THE GOOD STUFF
- NO synthetic fragrances.
- NO alcohol or formaldehyde.
- NO animal testing.
Sustainable Packaging
But not only our mask itself has been created with a sustainable approach, but all our packaging is also entirely made from recycled paper, along with a customized, reusable carry bag from corn starch, that helps you to store your mask safely while you're on the go. It is biodegradable and will start to decompose when put into anaerobic conditions, resulting in ZERO WASTE. Simply dispose the carry bag with your regular compost, when you won’t need it anymore.
